We Won the Good Egg Award (again)! 🥚🍫

If you are reading this on the Beyond Good blog, chances are that you’re aware of many of the issues associated with the chocolate supply chain – modern slavery, child labor, deforestation, and more.  Every year, the folks at the Chocolate Scorecard release a ranking of chocolate companies around the world—calling out the “Good Eggs” and the, well… not-so-good ones. We’re proud (and excited!) to share that Beyond Good has received the Good Egg Award for 2025.

This means a lot to us. The Scorecard looks at things that really matter:

  • Do companies know where their cocoa is coming from?

  • Are farmers paid fairly?

  • Are children being kept out of the supply chain?

  • What’s happening with climate and forests?

  • Are harmful pesticides being used?

We’re thrilled to say that Beyond Good earned the highest possible score—green beans! —across all categories.

To us, this isn’t just an award. It’s a validation of doing things differently. Operating our own factory at the source in Madagascar gives us total transparency and traceability; it means we can support our farmers directly—no middlemen, no shortcuts – and ensure the absence of things like slavery and child labor. The result? Better cocoa, better chocolate, and a better deal for the planet.

As our CEO Tim put it:

“Doing things differently requires taking risks. We’re really proud of our unique supply chain for its ability to deliver not only a more flavorful chocolate, but a positive impact for our farmers and the 89 species that call our cocoa forest their home.”

And yep—we’ve got even more exciting news on the horizon. Our very first ESG Report drops soonwith more details on the progress we’re making and commitments we’re proud to stand behind. If you’d like to be the first to hear about our launch, sign up here:

Thanks for cheering us on—and for choosing chocolate that’s Beyond Good.
