Chocolate Date Cockroaches
Made with chewy dates and dark chocolate, these are the only cockroaches you'll want anywhere near your kitchen.
Makes 20
Ingredients:
- 7 oz of Beyond Good 70% Dark Chocolate Melts, melted
- 10 Medjool dates, pitted and halved lengthwise
- 1/2 cup plus ½ Tbsp (5.3 oz) of peanut butter
- 1/3 cup (1.8 oz) of ground almond flour
- 1 tsp Beyond Good Pure Ground Vanilla
Instructions:
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix the peanut butter, ground almond flour and Pure Ground Vanilla until combined, then fill each halved date with the mixture.
- Place the filled dates on the prepared baking sheet, keeping their wrinkled skins exposed to form the cockroach bodies.
- Transfer the melted chocolate to a piping bag. Pipe chocolate over each date, then pipe the legs and antennae directly onto the parchment so they connect to the bodies.
- Leave to set completely before serving to your most easily disturbed guests.
